A gasoline engine, also called a petrol engine, is a type of internal combustion engine which produces kinetic energy with the use of petroleum, more commonly known as gasoline. Gasoline engines use a spark plug ignition system in order to stimulate the kinetic energy producing process. Gasoline engines are the most common kind of engines that are used in vehicles commonly found anywhere. Examples of these are cars, motorboats, motorcycles and even airplanes. It is also used in certain machines used in the house such as lawn mowers and chainsaws.
