A maize huller is used to separate the maize kernels from the husk that covers it. While doing this, the maize huller also polishes the kernels as the husk is being removed. The polishing process is achieved through the friction brought about by the passing of the kernels in between the emery roller and the sieve. One of the biggest advantages of using a maize huller is that it only requires minimal maintenance. It is also extremely easy to operate so there is no need to hire a skilled labor force to operate this.
