Compared to a tunnel style incubator, a box style incubator can hold only a small number of eggs for incubation at any given time. The average number of eggs a box style incubator may hold is about 16,000 eggs. Box style incubators are a great option for small hatcheries that are just starting up. Although the box style incubator does consume a lot more energy as compared to the tunnel style incubator, these are extremely easy to clean and as such allows ease in sanitizing the incubator which is important in ensuring that each egg hatched in the box style incubator would produce a healthy chick.
