Inclined Type Turbine-Generator Unit

These Turgo turbines can operate under a head of 30-300 meters. It is an impulse turbine similar to the Pelton turbine. However its buckets are differently outlined. And the jet of water hits the plane of the runner at a 20 degree angle. The water goes into one side of the runner disk and comes out from the other side. In Inclined Type turbine the water that admitted is not limited, resulting in a higher runner speed. This makes the direct coupling and generator of the turbine to be more effective. Maintenance is also very low.
