Food processing refers to a systematic set of procedures where raw foodstuff are processed and packaged which are then sold in supermarkets and local grocery stores. Food processing does not only entail those that are consumed by humans. Rather, it also refers to the processing and manufacturing of feeds that are used in livestock farming and for domestic pets. Food processing requires a number of different kinds of steps. In the earlier days, food processing is usually done by hand. Today, food processing machines are now used by food manufacturing corporations in order to create vast quantities to meet the demands of the market. There are some food processing machines that are able to do one procedure while there are others that are able to do a number of different tasks.
