A meat grinder, also known as a meat mincer, is primarily used for grinding or finely mincing raw meat coming such as beef, pork, and poultry to be used in the manufacturing and producing of various meat products. Examples of products that use a meat grinder or mincer for its production are sausages, burgers and hotdogs. A meat grinder is usually small in size. Chunks of meat are placed on the opening located on the top of the meat grinder or mincer. A spiral conveyor which is powered by hand or by electricity then minces or grinder the meat. The resulting product is then pushed out of the opening usually found on the right side of the meat grinder.
